  1. Retail inflation in August brought down marginally, Industrial production growth slows
    • Easing prices of vegetables, cereals and petroleum products eases the retails inflation to 7.8% in August.
    • The industrial production slows down to four month low of 0.5%.
  2. Haryana and Maharashtra Poll dates announced. Both states will go for poll on October 15. The results will be declared on October 19.
  3. Railways revenue earning increased by 12.53%.
  4. Odisha Advocate General Ashok Mohanty resigned; government accepted the resignation.
  5. Meghalaya governor Krishan Kant Paul too take addition charge of Mizoram and Manipur
    • He will swear in as governor of Mizoram on September 16.
    • Paul is going to be the fifth governor of Mizoram.
  6. Supreme Court said 3% quota must for disabled
    • Supreme Court held 3% quota for differently abled people in all categories of government jobs including promotions and appointments in IAS cadre.
